Education, Prevention and Disarmament Campaigns
The goal of our Education, Prevention and Disarmament campaigns is to sensitize and raise awareness of the harmful effects generated by crime and violence, motivating in return, the development of values aimed at crime prevention and the promotion of directed coexistence to children, adolescents and adults (parents) in vulnerable areas and spaces of high social risk.
Pedagogical strategy:
a. Exchange of war toys for school kits.
b. Workshops to promote values of solidarity and coexistence.
Participants:
Boys, girls and adolescents between 6 and 15 years old
Reach:
By 2022, 4,200 children are projected, located in 26 Colombian cities, distributed as described below.
Campaign description
1. Opening and verification of attendance control database.
2. Greeting: Break the possible tension of the parents and children benefiting from the Day.
3. Exchange: War toys are exchanged for school kits (children) and weapons accompanied by a short talk on awareness and crime prevention.
4. Values of Solidarity and Coexistence.
5. Snack. Activity Suspended for 2022
6. Counting and Minutes of War Toys: FLDC Ponal and/or Ejercol volunteers must count war toys in order to prepare a record thereof.
7. Closing and farewell.
