Educational Accompaniment
The Los del Camino Foundation in Alliance with the Coomeva Group initiated the pilot program of Educational Accompaniment to children and young people in vulnerable situations, enrolled in the educational system, through access to technological tools and socio-emotional support, to reinforce learning, strengthen the importance of learning and develop habits of autonomy, that contribute to their academic performance and avoid dropping out of school.
280 students from strata 1 and 2, studying between 3rd and 8th grade, from 8 to 15 years old, in 14 cities in Colombia are part of the pilot program, which began in the second semester of 2021.
With access to educational content and socio-emotional accompaniment in person and virtually, they obtain guidance for the understanding and development of schoolwork, promoting values related to mutual aid, behaviors for responsible self-development, discipline, self-esteem, as well as socialization activities with their environment, which strengthen the socio-emotional competencies of children, girls and young people.
The objective is that the different subjects, their explanations and official communications can reach this group of students in the appropriate time, form and channels according to the circumstances of the students.
